Clamp the tool down and against the reference edge of the work. The wide rabbet under the body hugs the work so only one clamp is needed to secure it. The jig has a one inch overhang so the router is already engaged with the edge before the cutter hits the work.

Both ends of the Square are square to the edge of the work; therefore you can index a "low-tech" templet off either end. Holding the square with one hand, position the MDF against the blade and clamp it. The MDF can now be used as a guide or reference for dados or whatever. Use 2 clamps on the MDF.

A big stick like this one (~ 3" x 3") is its own platform for morticing, you don't need a morticing jig. The edge guides on the router can be set for any mortice width and the setup-squares define the mortice length. Clamping down on the stops also secures the work. The stops rest on the work without holding them and speed up the process.
