ABOUT ME
Router Woodworking
Pat Warner, age 62, residing in Escondido, California.
A science degree (BSc) in Oceanography, 32 years woodworking, self taught. My practice is now a daily study of the art of routing and I make a little furniture to keep my skills up. I also make jigs, fixtures, and the jigs and fixtures to make product, some 20 different router subbases, 2 edge guides, 2 tenonmakers, a morticer, routertable fence, and 3 precision layout tools.
I work with the industry studying routerbits, prototyping new routers, and I often evaluate new accessories.
I have been a Porter Cable vendor for 11 years; I personally make their offset subbases, 42193 & 42194. I have worked with the attorneys of major tool manufacturers on patent infringement and injury litigation vis-a-vis routers and routing issues.
I have taught routing to more than 2000 students in the college and seminar settings and I teach one-on-one regularly.
I have written 4 books on routing and more than 65 router, routing, and furniture articles of mine have been published. The Taunton press produced 2 VHS tapes of my routing experience, method and technology. That set of tapes is available on one DVD. To supplement, I have made 3 CD-ROM's on routers, methods and precision routing to .001". The Router Woodworking website is 7 years old. I shoot all of the pictures, do the woodwork, write the text, and my webmaster creates and maintains the site.
